Presenting!!!!

Ainsley Marie Eden Gill
Born: March 18th, 2008 at 3:42 p.m.

Weight: 6 lbs. 0 oz.

Height: 19 inches

She has a debatable hair color. My mom swears it is more red... I say more strawberry blond... but like all newborns, we will have to wait to see the final color. It does definitely have red in it though. She is absolutely beautiful! Very tiny. We thought Andy was small at 6 lbs. 14 oz., but 6 lbs even is really little, for full term. After we resolved the issue in the previous post (and yes, one nurse had an unpleasant beginning of her shift, but I got my way), the experience was excellent. The nurses and doctors were great! A few highlights from the two days:

- We got there at 9 a.m. yesterday and had a baby at 3:42 p.m.

- Miranda got an epidural, but it only numbed the right side of her body.

- They were about to reset the epidural to get it to work completely when the nurse checked Miranda... the next thing we heard was "Wow! There is the head... you are going to have a baby like right now!" The nurse pushed me out of the way, and yelled through the call system " I will take Doctor Chandler and that cart NOW!". Within 20 seconds the bed was broken down and she was pushing... without any medicine on the left side of her body. She did awesome!

- Miranda's first words after Ainsley came out were "Hi, baby! That Was Freakin' Ow!". The nurse laughed and said that that was classic!

- She only pushed for 7 minutes and she was born.

- My mom got to be here for the birthing experience! She was awesome!

- Two of the best people in the world watched Little Andy from Monday night until Tuesday evening. Thanks Pastor Jeremiah and Cyndi!

- We had a block party in our room Tuesday night. Thanks to all 13 people who came to see her! We had a blast! And thanks for my gift Bill! Yes, Bill thought about me too! :)

- We kicked everyone out when Andy got there so he could have his moment meeting his little sister. He did great! He loves his baby sister. He told me "Daddy, you be gentle with my baby sister!" hehehe!

- My wife is awesome!

- My daughter is beautiful!

- My son is incredible!

- My mommy is a life saver!

- My friends are the best in the world!

- We are home tonight (Wednesday)!

- God has tremendously blessed me beyond what I deserve! Thank you Jesus for a beautiful miracle!
