The race for the white house is on. No, this is not going to be a politically spun blog entry. Sorry to disappoint! I did happen to watch a little of both debates last night, and on both sides of the table, Republican and Democrat, it struck me that they all seemed to want to help and fight for our nation’s freedom and prosperity. Seriously, no matter how Democrat or how Republican, how left or how right a candidate is, I think everyone can say that they are trying to stand up for what they believe to be the best direction for our country. They go out and spend millions and millions of dollars of campaign money for commercials, public speeches, research on the other candidates, poster, billboards, radio spots, and anything that gets their name out in the public’s eye. They basically sacrifice an entire year of their lives to try and make it on the ballot in November. Most of them if asked would say they would do anything for the American people. Above all of their sacrifices and dedication, there has been only one man to campaign for an entire world. Jesus spent a good thirty some years on earth. He spent about three of those years campaigning, if you would, for the hearts of every man, woman, political leader, high priest, lowly servant, the rich, the poor, the healthy, the diseases, the churched, and the un-churched. Despite all the hype of what each candidate could do for you and this country. Jesus laid down his life, not for your vote, but for your heart.
He already won the election. Will you accept his nomination in your heart?
